Raiders On Deck FAQs

ABOUT THE WORKOUTS

The idea for these workouts came from seeing all the flyers for select baseball teams highlighting their efforts to “prepare players for High School baseball.”  While many teams do a great job developing players for high school, we were intrigued to know what skills Coach Lucas wanted to see from his incoming players.  So, we asked.

Coach Lucas provided five skill sets that we’ve coined as the “Freshman 5 that he would like incoming players to develop before the arrive on campus.  These workouts are an opportunity to introduce/develop these skill sets to players on the field they will aspire to play on at Richland.

Current Richland Raiders players will assist with the workouts to help deliver the concepts of the workouts.  This will also give participants an opportunity to interact and ask any questions they may have about high school baseball directly to the current players.  Some Q&A time will be planned for each workout session to make for easy communication.
